Many of you have reached out concerning relief efforts. A simple google search already yields about 113,000,000 results in .55 seconds. Efforts are far and wide, and this list will not exhaust all of the options, this will, however, provide a guided mechanism that I think can help.

WHERE TO DONATE MONEY FOR HURRICANE DORIAN RELIEF IN THE BAHAMAS?
Many groups and organizations are setting up go fund me accounts. This is understandable because some people prefer to give monies to who they know. Please do your research before sending money by asking; who will the monies go to? How will they be dispersed? How long has this organization been around?
I am telling my friends to give monies directly to The Bahamas Red Cross, The Bahamas National Emergency Management Agency, The Grand Bahama Port Authority and the Anglican Diocese of The Bahamas. Their addresses are listed below along with all registered Charitable Donations in The Bahamas as of 2015. It is now 2019 so that list might not be exhaustive, but it is the one we have to go by.
The Red Cross

Those are the places you can send donations but outside of material goods, you can donate blood to the Princess Margaret Hospital. You can also donate your expertise if you are a medical professional, retired officer, engineer, architect or construction worker. You can donate your skills if you are good at organizing or your social media prowess to help these organizations if you are good at that. Everything you have is needed, especially your time. You can also donate your home on AIRBNB for those who’ve been displaced by going to https://www.airbnb.com/welcome/evacuees/dorianbahamas.
Below is a list of volunteer opportunities if you are in Nassau.
HOW/WHERE TO VOLUNTEER IN THE BAHAMAS FOR HURRICANE DORIAN RELIEF?
Bahamas Red Cross Society needs people to volunteer hours for packing.
Head Knowles is working with New Providence Community Church, Grace Community Church and Hands for Hunger is operating a donation drop off at Grace Community Church for residents of East New Providence and New Providence Community Centre. They are open for volunteer help from 9-6 each day in two-hour shifts.
Sororities, fraternities, independent businesses and organizations are all creating their own paths for rescue. Follow them online but also be open to calling since some organizations are not as social media savvy. You can continue to view donations and charities I’ve verified on my Instagram stories and the highlight tab #dorianrelief at @homeofstars.
